Petrol problems

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by mc22, Apr 8, 2006.

  1. Hi guys...

I've got a cbr250rr and petrol leaks from the carbies. I found out that one of the floating needles stoping the petrol was obstructed by a small hair...

What I would appreciate if anyone knows where I can get a carby kit and if I can obtain a petrol filter (in line with the tank and carby---small and visible and free flowing). Melbourne area.

This is not the first time the needle left me in the lurch...

    Thanking you in advance...
  2. In-line filters are readily available from bike shops. You can even get washable/resuable ones.

I don't know about Honda, but Suzuki don't sell carbit kits, rather they make you buy the bits individually.

What's the brand of carbie on those? Mikuni?

If so I get my carbie bits from Ian William Tuning. They are a cart shop, but stock a large range of mikuni bits.
