Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by cptatom7, Aug 20, 2009.

  1. Hey guys!

    I need some urgent help!

    Kawaninja250r 08'

I filled my tank to the brim... but its only half price to wat i was normally filling like over a month ago... it still made the 200-300kms (could my fuel gauge be broken or inacurate?)

the other day.. i found that wen i left my bike.. .the next mornin it had a petrol puddle underneath.. dripin out of a loose tube from the botom... n my bro clipd it fr me.. but den wen i came home from work.. it leaked thru the fuel lid!

plz help... if it cud jus be maintenance issues.. an aparent carby clean or nefin else...

  2. Unblock that drain tube NOW.
You have overfilled the tank and as petrol expands, it is pressurizing and forcing out past the cap seal.
The drain/overflow tube is there to get rid of any spillage etc.
I never fill more than about 2 inches below the cap.
  3. :WStupid:

Fuel out the drain tube is normal.

cptatom7 - your post is really hard to read. Seriously re-write that shit.
  4. What they said.

Fuel expands and contracts massively with varying temperatures.
