Patron Saint of Motorcyclists

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by Spud Gun, Apr 27, 2006.

  1. The (Catholic) Patron Saint of Motorcyclists is Saint Columbanus, and he's Irish! See all about him here:

Pretty impressive CV. Things he did:
"he multiplied bread and beer for his community" Always handy!
"he destroyed a vat of beer being prepared for a pagan festival by breathing on it" Well, it was before Listerine.
  2. Always good to know that we have someone else looking out for us
  3. Now thats a saint !!!!

His feast day is 23rd of Nov . . .
Dante, book it in for a date to go for a ride !!! :D
  4. I aint gunna pray to anybody who's name ends in anus..
  5. So, where's he been the last few months???? Stookie and Matt et al have grounds to sue.....
  6. Patronage
    against floods; motorcyclists

For motorcyclists, against floods. Clearly the patron saint of Amal carburettor owners.

Whatever - do we instigate a 23rd of November festival?
  7. I guess I do to as Im in hospital next week to get a plate in my shoulder

Ill have a chat with him if I ever get up there
  8. Well, my parish priest would say that maybe he was looking out for them and prevented them from being more seriously injured. Then again, he would also have said "Come into my car and see some puppies".
