N/A | National Painted Helmets?

Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' started by Dzyan, Jul 11, 2013.

  1. So I see these cool helmets for sale that are usually based on the AGV K3 and they have all sorts of stuff going on and I'm wondering about the legalities of such things.

Is there a specific type of paint you can use and have done by a pro to keep your lid legal? I'm thinking of getting an army green helmet and the one I want doesn't come in it.

  2. Just dont paint over the AS sticker. Or the visor.
  3. is there a specific type of paint to avoid or can I just pick up a spray can and have at it?
  4. If you use a spray can it will look cheap, because of the nozzle.

A spray painter would prepare the surface, lay an undercoat, sand it, and then top coat it with a spray gun, and finally overcoat it once more with a gloss, to give it that shiny professional look.

If you only want a matt green coat of paint, then hit it with a spray can, but it all depends what you are after.
  5. search for my thread.

if paint gets to the styrofoam youre fcuked
