Over reading Tacho

  1. While not particularly important, its a bit disconcerting to see 16'000 rpm on the dial while doing 50k's. At a guess, it's roughly double the actual amount.

Is there any way I can change it so it's reading right, or just make do?
  2. Depends what the bike is mate. What are you riding these days?

If it's one of those hover bikes from Return of the Jedi, then it's possible you're doing 16,000 revs.
  3. It'll need a larger resistor in the signal line if it's an aftermarket item. If it's a standard item, I'd say there is a short across the resistor.
