Holy shit! So what the're saying is that the SAFEST thing to do might be to turn and face backwards on a motorcycle at freeway speed and attempt to fire a handgun (not overly accurate) in a situation that may involve other traffic in the firing line.
How about change lanes and get the hell out of the way instead?

Someones been watching too many "Road Warrior" type movies methinks.
After being a victim of road-rage endangering life, and having no legal recourse, I can actually understand this kind of sentiment. A car aimed at a motorcycle is a lethal weapon, so he has a point about self-defense too.
More needs to be done about road-rage around here. We at least need a mechanism for reporting drivers - everytime I've tried to report a driver I've been fobbed off, more or less.
