Older cheap bike to do up

  1. What I mean by 'do up' is a bike that actually runs and that I can 'practice' pulling apart (and hopefully put back together).

Does anyone know of a cheap model that has easily accesible parts? It does not have to be roadworthy or registered. I'd like something bigger than a 250 though as i'd eventually like to ride it :)

    Any suggestions gladly accepted

  2. Define cheap?
  3. Cheap means around the $1000 mark, this price could possibly include transporting it home if needed.
