Ok so I cooked my bike

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' at netrider.net.au started by Lloydie, Apr 3, 2008.

  1. Heya all,

I have cooked my bike, so am looking for a repairer that

    1, Does not talk shit.
2, Will not muck me around.
3, Knows what they are doing.

Ideally located in the west of melbourne, the bike is a kawasaki gpx 250 ... It does not matter how it came about I am only looking for how to get the situation resolved.

    Thank you.

    :)

  4. Come on, spill the beans!

Pretty hard to cook a bike in this weather, unless you lose your coolant.

  7. If you've really cooked an all alloy motor, you might be better off getting a complete engine from a wrecker and swapping it yourself (or with the assistance of an obliging local Netrider perhaps). Or getting whatever mechanic you find to do it.

  8. depending on bike +1 for the engine swap, would be cheaper

  9. Edit: It is apparent no one knows any bike mechanics ... or I was thinking to myself ... they do not want to post the ones they know because they will be flamed as is pretty much always the case in these forums.

So that being said please fell free to PM me :)

    Thanks Again

  16. Probably only done a head gasket but a quick check of the oil should let you know if there's any likelihood of serious damage.
    Head gasket - $80, 3 hours work ??
