[NSW] Illawara Highway

Discussion in 'Hazardous Road Condition Reports' at netrider.net.au started by ginji, Apr 16, 2010.

  1. There are some road works just east of the Hume Highway, and they've left a chunk of it unsealed. So if you're heading that way expect a patch of dirt/gravel.

(It was far from pleasant after riding all the way from Ballarat on a largely unfamilar bike, in the dark...)
  2. And precious, if any signs to warn you of it too, I bet.
  3. Just the one before it started and I was "huuuh? Gravel road? Damn it!"

Plenty of grooves from heavy traffic in it too to make it more unpleasant.
  4. To be fair, there are several humungous machines parked around the area, and there is a flashing 'display' sign in both directions warning of the road works and nominating the date of start and finish.....
