[NSW] F3 - you're all screwed again

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by bonox, Jun 18, 2010.

  1. Another pair of trucks closes the F3, this time 5pm on a friday.

What's wrong with ya silly drivers!

edit: that must make it a good half dozen closures in the last year or two alone and the old road is still an unmaintained 60km/h single trail goat track.
  2. unmaintaned? Hardly, the surface is better than it was when it was the only highway, and it was a lot narrower then as well...
  3. a lot narrower? I can remember it being two lanes on the same stretch of blacktop where there is now one lane. It's now only very recently been resurfaced in large part but is still full of potholes with odd lumpy patches, lots of ripples from heavy vehicles and loads of loose gravel.

And this is before you ignore the odd patches where they've just roped off the bits that collapsed over the edge and look like they aren't going to bother fixing it. And at the same time you have the pollies jumping up and down about the road being the secondary to one of the busiest roads in the country, should be used for closures of the F3 and yet isn't? And it still takes the brunt of the stuff ups because they can't even get the contra-flows working.
