NSR250 (93) MC21 - Steering Damper

Discussion in 'Modifications and Projects' started by The17thPope, Jan 22, 2008.

  1. Hey fellow riders,

I am at present rebuilding my NSR250 and am now looking to obtain a Steering Damper for my ride.

The type that I need bolts onto the left hand side of the chassis near the fuel tank and bolts onto the left fork.

My question is: Has anyone bolted one onto an MC21 previously?
Is there a specific model that I need or are there universal ones?

I was looking at an Ohlins model.

    Any suggestions?

  2. Judging by the look of your icon...
A simple damper, may not be much help

    Seriously .. I dunno
  3. U will need some sort of bracket to attach it to the fork leg and to the frame.
Look on the nsr250 forum for the recommended stroke.
  4. one end mounts onto the fork leg, the other end is bolted to the frame (when you found out). I can't remember stroke length.

Unless you are varying the geometry, doing racing, or even suffering from it, it's not necessary.
