QLD No compliance plate

Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' started by Samboss260, Sep 7, 2013.

  1. I'm looking at a bike that has a missing compliance plate.
Obviously it isn't registered, and I'm looking at it as a project bike.

How hard is it to get a compliance plate again?

It has been registered in Qld before.
  2. Why is the compliance plate missing? :/
  3. The guy didn't even know it was missing. Should i be worried?
  4. Um... I would be.
  5. Take rego papers to ais inspection station and fill in a lost comp plate form apparantly. Or easier to get seller to do it.
  6. Have contacted seller and asked for rego papers. If he can't supply old rego papers is it just a parts bike? The bike did have a number plate still attached
  7. How old is the bike? Compliance plates are relative new things in the world of motorcycles.
  8. I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Plenty of bikes out there without legal complications.
  9. 1981. I've seen other bikes of same model with compliance plates. That is why i checked and new where to look.
