Newbie Tyre Question

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by ricethief, Aug 31, 2010.

  1. I have a set of Bt-92 on my zxr250 which I want to change but am unsure whether to get the Gpr100 or the Gpr10a. Is the 10a worth the premium over the 100? As a new rider should I ease into Gpr100 or get the sticker Gpr10a? I dont do any communting on the bike and only really ride it on weekends.

  2. Stickier. Cheapest insurance you will ever buy.
  3. had a gpr100 on at one stage and didn't like it. but sticky tyres wear quicker, especially if you're not leaning much.
  4. sticky tyres are lots more fun, is the gpr10a a single compound or multi compound? i went a bt003rs because i ride a bit in a straight line and didnt want to waste a tyre because the centre was stuffed.

they're a multi-compound with a harder compound in the centre then softer as you move out.
