New to Melbourne (and Australia)

Discussion in 'Welcome Lounge' started by rearviewmirror, Apr 11, 2010.

  1. I just moved to Melbourne about 9 months ago from Texas. I thought I could go two years without a motorcycle, but I was wrong. I recently purchased a new Yamaha XT660R, I figured a sportbike would get me in trouble, a KTM 990 Adventure is way too expensive in Australia so the Yamaha got the nod due to it's great blend of street and dirt characteristics. Looking forward to meeting some other adventure/dual-sport types out there. If I'd bought the 'tard version of the XT I might have hooked up with the sportbike crown for fun. It seems that Victoria is well suited to an enduro with heaps of off-road tracks.

  2. make sure you left your shooting iron at home! welcome to the Fine State.
