New Rider. Riding Routes?

Discussion in 'New Riders and Riding Tips' at netrider.net.au started by Moff, Sep 11, 2008.

  1. Hey all,

I'm a new rider, bought an 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250r a few weeks back. I'm just after a nice relaxed cruise somewhere, where theres not to much traffic for a sunday arvo. I live in Bulleen (Victoria) not to far from the city.

    Any suggestions?

  2. Head up Warrandyte way and from there, many places with nice roads to go. :)
  3. +1.
maybe head out to sugarloaf reservoir for a first trip then further on to yarra glen and healesville later.
don't go to kinglake through st andrews.
  4. + 1 for Sugarloaf etc.
Putting the state in the title will help
  5.  Top
  6. Try a loop through Eltham-Kangaroo Ground-St Andrews-Hurstbridge-Diamond Creek.

    Can also loop Warrandyte-Research-Kangaroo Ground-Warrandyte.

+1 to Don't do St Andrews Kinglake. Not newbie friendly and definite risk of oncoming traffic on your side of the road.
  7. Bloody oath. I did that while I was a noob not knowing how tight the roads were. Scared the living shit through me a couple times.
