New Merchandise Item - sew on patch

Discussion in 'Site Announcements' started by vic, Aug 19, 2006.

  1. Folks,

By popular request, Netrider now has available for purchase a sew on patch.

The patch depicts the Netrider Logo and has space for a name, number, picture or any combination of the above.

I just made 2 of them and they came up pretty funky
  2. Re: New Merchandise Item

    Nice looking patch.
I suppose the name and number will be embroidered on the patch.

Does it mean I have to be a member to buy this?
  3. Its not embroidered, it is sublimated.

At present you don't have to be a member to buy merchandise. In the near future however it will cost more for non members to buy merchandise.
  4. Vic, is it possible to use a different font for the added text? It's ok for "Lady Rider", but it's a a bit fluffy if your name is "Hairy Badass"....
  5. That's a classic!!
  6. Haha nearly lost my lunch reading that. I take my hat off to you.
  7. but I want iron on patches :(

yo vicy... can you make me one with "bite me" in the biggest letters that will fit pls (no netrider logo)... ill come round your work next week and give you cash :)
  8. Put me down for TWO, with Hornet600 on both; ditto to George's post, natch!!
  9. spaz........

You can have whatever colour & font you like (providing I have the font or you send me the font if I dont have it)
  10. Don't sew them on the back of your jacket.

  11. :applause: thanks Vic
i do like my name on the patches
    the new name
looks much nicer than the other one would have
  12. Do you think that Blue12 and I love Vic will fit on the same badge ?? So Vic you actually print the font on to the badge yes..
  13. Hey I'm Greek, I'll make it fit

No, not directly onto the patch.

    It is sublimated.
  14. i just got back from a ride and saw this from Vic it got me curious
what this meant so did a googly search

sublimed: passing or having passed from the solid to the gaseous state (or vice versa) without becoming liquid
S: (v) sublimate (direct energy or urges into useful activities)
S: (v) rarefy, sublimate, subtilize (make more subtle or refined)
S: (v) purify, sublimate, make pure, distill (remove impurities from, increase the concentration of, and separate through the process of distillation) "purify the water"
S: (v) sublime, sublimate (change or cause to change directly from a solid into a vapor without first melting) "sublime iodine"; "some salts sublime when heated"
S: (v) sublime, sublimate (vaporize and then condense right back again)

    end of curiosity
  15. Yeah, I got totally sublimated on friday night.......
  16. Does that mean it's also dyed (died)?
  17. It means it's embeded/combined into the material.
It won't scratch or rub off.
Unless you also scratch/rub the material away.
Better then just printing on top.

It's used on mugs, caps, mouse mats etc.
  18. The only problem with that in Adelaide is... Every other rider would say "WTF is Netrider" I think us Adelaidians need to do some advertising haha. They look pretty sweet though.

+1 to funny hairy badass comment :p
