new finished roads

Discussion in 'New Riders and Riding Tips' started by vupham, Nov 9, 2010.

  1. Are new finished roads meant to be slippery correct? There is this corner on a new fresh road just finished few weeks ago, when I go around it feels like I'm on ice...I can feel my back wheels sliding or I could be just paranoid..

  2. I would guess it's because it's smooth that it feels like you floating. Had it happen to me, a road went from a potholed mess to the slickest surface you could dream for... and I felt like I was going to fly straight off on every corner due to the lack of bumps to provide feedback.
