Introducing GPWeek – a unique and exciting innovation in global motorsport media

As a registered Motorsport eNews reader, we are pleased to let you know about GPWeek – a unique and exciting innovation in global motorsport media.

Launching on March 10, GPWeek is an international publishing co-operation, an evolution of eNews, designed to provide motorsport fans world-wide with the latest news, insight and opinion from the worlds of Formula One, MotoGP and the World Rally Championship.

In this environmentally conscious age, one of the core benefits of this new magazine – as with eNews – is that, with its worldwide distribution via the internet, it will not require a single page to be printed.

GPWeek will be produced by a team of (European-based) respected, enthusiastic, positive motorsport writers.

GPWeek’s team of journalists will be led by Editor Will Buxton, an experienced writer who returns to the F1 fold in 2008 after three years heading GP2 public relations. He brings a fresh, youthful perspective to GPWeek’s analysis and opinion-guided editorial.

“GPWeek is something both of the present and of the future, and to be at the forefront of its direction from the offset is something which I am relishing,†says Buxton. “The over-riding vision for GPWeek is that its content should encompass the passion and wonder of motorsport and should reflect a wide spectrum of international opinion which will appeal to fans of all nationalities.â€

GPWeek’s Motorcycle Grand Prix Editor is Michael Scott, one of the world’s most respected MotoGP journalists. The editor of the revered annual Motocourse, and author of a long list of must-have books for motorcycle racing fans, very little escapes Scott’s expert gaze.

Meanwhile, the WRC will be covered by GPWeek’s Rallies Editor Martin Holmes. His knowledge of the sport spans over 400 Rallies, from his own days of competition in the 1970s to the modern-day feats of Sebastien Loeb. There are few journalists as respected in the business.

GPWeek will also profit from its association with world-renowned photographic agency Sutton Motorsport Images. Under the guiding hand of Keith Sutton, his photographers will cover every event featured in GPWeek, and bring a sumptuous photographic quality to the magazine.

The first issue of GPWeek will be published on Monday March 10. In the meantime, we'd encourage you to REGISTER your email address (as you have with Motorsport eNews) to ensure you don't miss a (weekly) issue – privacy laws mean we can't simply 'copy' your details across!
