New Bike Warranty - What can't I do to my bike?

Discussion in 'Businesses and Service Providers' started by Human Potato, Apr 17, 2008.

  1. Hi Guys,

I am on the verge of buying a brand new bike for the first time in my life and I just wanted to find out what limits will be placed on me in regards to DIY servicing etc without invalidating the warranty. Can I do things like oil changes etc? How about fitting new heated grips?
  2. Depends on the terms of the warranty. Most stipulate you need to have all official services (ie at specified service intervals) done by certified mechanic - for the warranty to stay valid.
