The rider in question was Darren "boky" Bokenham.

Loved by many, missed by all who knew him.

I never knew nor met boky myself, but had heard much of him, and had seen him active on IRC.

A memorial thread at OCAU.mc, at which he was a forum moderator, can be found here.

    RIP Darren.
  2. RIP Darren.
  3. Absolutely.

It's been near on 24 hours since the news broke of his passing and I still feel rather i'll at the news.

Daz, mate, you will be missed brother.

A huge huge loss, he has left many people hurting.

  5. I've already posted in the OCAU.MC thread so I'll just be quick here.

Boky was one of those guys who everyone just seemed to like. He was the genuine article... a nice guy.

    RIP mate :(
  6. Very Sad. :(

    RIP Darren.

  7. I didn't know you, Darren, and now I never will - a great loss.

    RIP fellow rider.

May you ever feel the wind in your face on the great track in the sky.

Condolences to all your friends and family.
  8. RIP Darren you will be surely missed by all.

When I got the ph call yesterday I was numb.
    Still am.

    Fairwell mate.
  9. Numbed and shocked doesn't seem to quite cover it. Cat and I have been reeling from this since we heard last night. If Boky could die in a motorcycle accident, then we all can.

Boky was a highly experienced rider, and always rode safely.

He was also a salt-of-the-earth type person. Always happy to chat, and also to help anyone who needed it.

We'll miss his cheery face at the Supers and MotoGP. He often lobbed at our place on his way through to the island, and we always looked forward to his arrival.

    We'll miss you Boky.
  10. Rest in peace my friend.

My condolences to family, friends and fellow riders.

  11. Very sad news :(

I'd met Boky a few times on his travels to MotoGP/Supers, and he was a nice guy.

sadly it is at times like this that we are reminded how vulnerable we are on the road....I did not know Darren, but he was a year younger than I which is a very sobering thought.

My sincerest condolences to friends, family and fellow riders.
