Need Avice VN800 - plug changing.....

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by thetramp64, Jan 13, 2012.

  1. Does anyone have some advice / help / ideas?
I want to change plugs on a VN800 Vulcan (classic).
Do you need to remove the seat?
Do you need to remove the silver covers on the pots?

I have the plug tool from the kit, but it doesnt seem to be going into the plug hole deep enough.
    Any advice greatfuly accepted.

  2. That tool is the only way besides what you say I think. Pretty sure tho.
The rears not too bad but getting under the tank for the front one sucks big time.
So yeah that tool is meant to be able too take them out without pulling it to bits
  3. Appreciate the advice. I finally got both out, but had to lift the tank.
