My fuel tap has died

Discussion in 'New Riders and Riding Tips' started by aste9974, Jan 19, 2012.

  1. My fuel tap has died and my poor bike is sitting at motorcycle empire, Leichhardt, while they try and acquire a new fuel tap.

    Oh woe is me:nopity:

They might have to order from china which could take who knows long.

  2. Professional squid?
  3. Actually it died all by itself. No accident, the bike was bought new and isn't even one year old. And it carked it...
  4. Does it just need an O-ring?

If they cannot get a art quickly I would have a go at dissembling it and seeing if you can do a fix.
  5. They said it's not sealed properly, they said because there is no vacuum fuel isn't delivered properly.
  6. They also said I need a fuel tap designed for the bike because the tap takes the shape of the fuel tank, apparently.
