music websites?

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by roundabout, Aug 18, 2005.

  1. anyone know of good music websites, like www.epitonic.com that update frequently? epitonic used to be great for news on music (with a free download from the artist) but they don't seem to have had any new releases since last year

  2. Hi Roundabout,

The only one i know of is the yahoo site:

Doubt you can download there though.

  3. The site I use to stream audio is www.shoutcast.com . And if there is something you really want there are tools out there and easily found that will record streaming audio.

Don't know about music downloads... torrents
  4. What do you want to use it for?
    downloads and streaming?
    News, reviews and interviews?
    dodgy pirating?
    what type of music?

    If it's dance music...
I am familiar with epitonic and think it is good. If you want streaming try radiostations that specialise in the music you want.
for downloads of Breaks and some other genres try hybridized.org
    For news/reviews etc try residentadvisor.net
  5. i use it for news and reviews, downloads (usually they have a single track from an artist/album, helps to decide whether to buy or not). not dodgy pirating, no burner at work so would be pointless anyway. i can't stream either, that's blocked i think. pretty much just after punk (mainly canadian and japanese), no wave, bit of indie rock, i also like the similar artists section epitonic has.
