QLD Mt Tambourine tar snakes

Discussion in 'Hazardous Road Condition Reports' started by Dime, Jul 28, 2016.

  1. just a heads up, I saw this article on motorbikewriter.com which warns riders of new tar snakes on the south side of tambourine, on the 'goat trail', which has caused several riders to go down recently.

They are apparently at a very sharp switchback marked at 20km/h, so I would advise to keep a good eye out through there, it's pretty hairy at the best of times anyway.

  2. that's some shocking looking work - I hate going down the goat track. Now have a good reason tell buddies go different route
  3. Did the goat track once.......... never again!
  4. That must be new... thanks for posting that article DimeDime . I'm intrigued now about these since they are being used more and more - eg lots at the end of Mt Lindesay Hwy close to the border. I've done a few skids on them before. I'll ask some Q's at work and see if I can come up with an alternative material they may be able to use...
