Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by MR_PEA, Aug 15, 2008.

  1. where do i go to get parts for my Honda VTR250.....
i have dropped a bolt from the rear indicator..
and the indicator is now flapping around everywhere....

    ne ideas...

  2. Honda dealer or wreckers?
  3. know of any in dandenong?
  4. cheers gave em a bell and they dont have one but should have one by tuesday for me to pickup...

    Cheers for the info!
  5. You should have thought of that yourself.
  6. if you can work out the size bunnings may have something for a temp fix
  7. It's just a bolt... Take the one off the other indicator into a hardware store and tell 'em you want one of those. Honda will charge you a few bucks, bollox to that.
  8. loz, he doesn't want to think laterally. He wants to pay full price.
  9. You'd be better off going to an engineering supplies than a hardware store if you are needing metric.
  10. You'll need to go to Honda for sure.
    Bolt, indicator. P/N 22938563N $75.55.
Or, go to an auto store and buy one from teh rack of bolts, $5 for a half dozen.

    Regards, Andrew.
  11. I only ever use genuine honda bolts for my indicators.
  12. Is this an extremely stupid question or am I just getting old and cynical?
  13. Probably both. But it's OK, you are from where there are no corners.
  14. Now Rog, we need to show some understanding. Some people are very particular about keeping their bikes absolutely stock. I get my tyre-air shipped in from Schiranna, don't you?
  15. Dandenong MotorCycle Wreckers
    52 Bennet St Dandenong
  16. thanks for that guys you really know how to a new guy feel welcome :(

Peter Stevens quoted me about $4 to get a new one...
the bolt looked semi specialised so i would of assumed that i would have to go back to a Honda dealer for this kind of part..
i could of done a bit of a dodgy and risk damaging the indicator, but i would of had to replace it in the long run..
