[MELB] Good mechanic in Brunswick / City ?

Discussion in 'Businesses and Service Providers' started by guy001, Jul 11, 2006.

  1. Hi all,

I'm looking to get a major service done on my '89 Kawasaki GPX600 so am looking for a good/honest/cheapish mechanic in my area.

Does anyone in the area have any advice or recommendations?

    Thanks muchly!
  2. I don't know of any good bike mechanics in Brunswick.

I haven't used them for years, but I had some good service from Bikes Plus in Keilor Rd Essendon.

I don't remember the name, but I've heard good stuff about a mechanic in Station St Fairfield, Just past the railway line.

These days I go out of my way to get to a really good mechanic, but he's a BMW specialist in Ringwood, so not much good to you.
  3. Harley City are one of the best around - unfortunately they only work on Harleys :?

Otherwise you need to go to the City or RIngwood -
  4. Thanks for the advice so far guys- I think we are getting closer... either that or i may need to travel further ;)

    TonyE- i ride an '89 Kawasaki GPX600
  5. saw that after I replied - so edited question out...

Brighton Kawaski used to be pretty good. They gave some good advice to my daughter when she was getting rid of her Kawasaki LTD 250 and was looking for another bike - they spent a bit of time discussing her riding style and suggested a Spada - even though they had none in stock (and did have some Kawasakis in her price range).
  6. what about stafford yamaha? Ive only heard good things. They are in bell street preston.
