Interesting segment yday re: speed cameras
heres a quote to get started....
That guy's head is so far up his own ass he can get an eyeful of his esophagus.
FWIW I don't think ACA's shenanigans have done anything to help put an opposing case against camera surveillance. But it is a damn shame that Mediawatch have not bothered to dig a little deeper into the Road Safety Industry campaigns in favour of cameras. Thirty five pro-camera studies around the world is not nearly so convincing when compared in a BALANCED way with the significant number studies that have found against cameras.
And this is compounded by Mediawatch quoting both MUARC and the Victorian Auditor Generals report as authorities on the matter, when the VAG obstinately refused to include ANY studies in his investigation that did not support the pro-camera line, and used MUARC as his primary source. MUARC routinely buries any evidence contrary to their agenda.
ACA's poor standards have become Mediawatch's excuse to do the same. Disappointing in the extreme.
Forward this post to media watch.
