Mechatronics has come a long way

Discussion in 'The Pub' started by Ljiljan, Sep 20, 2010.

  1. That was awesome. Always liked robotics/mechatronics stuff :)...should have studied it at uni :(
  2. not really, very few jobs in Oz.
  3. Combined with my Nanotechnology degree, might give me a head start...wouldn't mind moving to Singapore where nanotechnology/robotics have a great government funding program.
  4. haha, again, not in Oz. Perhaps in singapore, I don't know singapore.
  5. Was seriously considering a nanotechnology when i first finished yr12, but the job prospects in Aus were very minimal so i ended up doing computer science instead.

Have to make do with keeping a keen interest in the field.....

Doing any degree specific work in the country or overseas?
  6. Unfortunately I haven't found a job related to my degree...but working in the same industry. Hard finding a job in Nanotechnology unless you have a masters or phd...which sucks. Ah wells...it is kind of boring at the moment anyway. QLD is the only state that has invested in nanotechnology as far as I know.
  7. that thing is freakin awesome.
  8. I believe this is the predecessor to the man hacks in half life 2...
  9. The drone planes flying in Afganistan are driven by a bloke sitting at a computer in the USA,
  10. That's absolutely amazing
