Maintenance for 1999 Yamaha Zeal

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by toughguy, Mar 14, 2005.

  1. I bought a Yam Zeal 250 with 9000km on clock. don't have a maintenance schedule or owners manual. When will it need engine work besides regular oil and filter changes? Help would be appreciated. Thanks, Don

  2. I am sure that the maintenance manual will have specific mileage in terms of this maintenance, but barring that the normal routine I use is:
    - oil changes: every 5000 k's
    - oil filter changes: every 10 000 k's (every second oil change)

This will vary also on the quality of oil you use. If you use a fully synthetic you may not need to change oil until 6 or 7 000 k's...
