As a teacher, I find the typos and grammatical blunders that we all make highly amusing. I don't comment because I'm not perfect and I get the meaning of what people are saying anyway; the communication of the message is the most important thing. However, there have been some howlers of late and I wonder if we can sustain a thread where we keep these for future reference and enjoyment. I'll start. The other day someone was complaining that he went to buy a new jacket and had to buy a bigger size because, apparently, he had gotten larger. Only he spelt it LAGER. What a difference a consonant can make. I recently said I wouldn't be able to go for a ride because I had to wok. Again, the missing consonant completely changed the meaning of my sentence. Any others that spring to mind?
