Looking at a Firestorm

Discussion in 'Bike Reviews, Questions and Suggestions' started by npw112, Nov 14, 2011.

  1. Went to look at this bike yesterday:

Loved the feel and torque of the bike.

Is this too many KMS for a firestorm? I plan to keep the bike for at least 3 years and would most likely be doing 10-15k a years.

Anything else I should be looking out for?
  2. They're well made, but you should be able to get one with a good few less km for similar money.
  3. cam chain tensioners can be an issue on these bikes.
  4. I checked with the seller and this has been done on the bike.

Should I still look for one with less KMs?
  5. Yep, having a mates just give way and bend valves I can attest that it is something that should have been done by 60k. Otherwise they are an awesome bike.
  6. Offer him $4k if you like this particular one..... I recon he'd take it ;)
  7. Its no longer listed so did you get it ?

If not send me a PM, I know of a nice Red one with 25000kms on it you may be interested in
