Licola ride -new date Wed 26/12

Discussion in 'VIC' started by Roarin, Dec 24, 2007.

  1. All right then. After Sundays debacle with the weather, I have decided to head off to Licola on Boxing day. 'Cause thats about as long as I can handle sitting around the house for. And I might not even last that long :) Now that the KTM is feeling totally refreshed. There's not much traffic about Xmas day is there? But boxing day it will be.
Departure point will be the same place & time (9:30am Mobil servo cnr Stud & Wellington road) Route will most probably take in Erica/Rawson & parts of Gippsland so no need to preach doom & gloom on the condition of the Licola road :) There will be plenty of good roads in between. So see you all there raring to go. Cheers

  2. looking forward to a good ride.
catch you (and everyone else ;)) at the meet point.
  3. see you soon
  4. finally decided..... see you at the servo

I've just got back from ridin' round a bunch of backroads out the back of Moe and I've only just turned to poota on.

Hope ya's had a goodun coz it was a top day for it [IMG]
  6. An absolute ripper of a day! Around a 600kms round trip for me. Heyfield-Licola road was in pretty good shape. A bit of loose stuff in spots, but it was all well signed.

  7. What a magic route, thanks for leading roarin - brilliant day.
Got home at 7:01pm avoiding trouble with my missus
  8. I thought you would have been pretty close to making it. I think we must have averaged a pretty respectable pace over the last hour or so
It was indeed an a pearler of a ride. No close calls. Not too hot. Nice dry roads. Plenty of corners. What more could you wish for. Thanks to all who came along.
  9. How quick Heyfield - Licola?
I've done it in 44mins in a turbo Hilux under police falcon escort
  10. Eh? Now Where Route reckons it should take around 42 minutes.
  11. It was during last seasons fires. Maybe it was 34 mins
Local plod suggested I drive back "a little slower" which I may or maynot have done a couple of hours later without him
  12. What can I say? Time flies when you're having fun.
  13. I just have to say it again. I had an absolutely fantastic day tussling with Roarin through some of the best roads in Victoria. Thanks so much Andy for leading the ride with your typical verve. I can't really begin to describe how much I enjoyed today, except to say that it ranks up there pretty high in my list of fond memories.
  14. Thanks to all for the fantastic day out. What an awsome ride!!!
Bit stiff in the legs this morning....... woa betide the sport bikers :p
