Lesson for the day

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' at netrider.net.au started by heavyw8, May 5, 2005.

  1. travelling on the unfriendly monash in the right lane behind a big truck.

before i know it there is a road works cone that i was heading straight for that had been blown over in the wind. lucky i kept a safe distance from the truck to be able to react ... :S

lesson: pick a lane where you can see the not only the traffic but the road condition also.

  2. Another lesson for the day. Don't ride when too tired. After a 13 hour stint of frying my eyes and brains looking at a PC monitor with barely a break, I rode home and went over a flat sheet of wood or something that I would've avoided if I wasn't so zombified out.

Then again, maybe not as I tend to find all the potholes and uneven road surfaces on an otherwise flat smooth road for other bikers regardless of how alert I am
