Leather Jacket alterations in Wollongong area?

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' at netrider.net.au started by fifi1980, Dec 30, 2009.

  1. Has anyone used 1 of the 2 places in Wollongong that do leather alterations? I did a search and found a place highly recommended in Syd, but would be easier if I could get it done closer to home!

    Cheers, Fi. :)

  2. If you don't find any suitable locally then contact "mars" in Melbourne, had some work done by them and couldn't be happier

  3. There is a specialist leather shop in the top end of Crown Street, before you get to Spotlight, but on the northern side. I can't remember its name, but it's run by a charming man who is, I think, Armenian, and he does very good work at very reasonable rates.

  4. I rang there Hornet and they don't reopen until the 15th....so having to put up with a jacket that's too big across the shoulders and keeps creeping up my neck, grrr.

He does do good work though, he made a jacket for a mate of mine a couple of years ago and it was top notch. I'm just worried that the look of the jacket might be spoiled as it's 2 different colours.

Guess I'll have to just see what he reckons. :)

  5. Recommend Mode Leathers. Pity he's on holidays but his workmanship and his prices are recommended.
