Learner (restrected bikes) ??? [VIC]

Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' started by sunshine600, Mar 31, 2008.

  1. [VIC] Hey fellow riders,
Ive just got my learner permit about 4 months ago, I am looking at 250's with a mate with 6 yrs experiance. He mentioned restricted 600's???? Is this possible in VIC, can any 600 be restricted???

PS; this is to save money later when upgrading bikes, rather than sell and upgrade just remove the restriction!

  2. There is the hyo650, but don't get that unless you want an expensive paperweight.

LAMS isn't in VIC yet for another few months away so you're restricted to 260cc until then.. AFTER july or whenever it comes in you can get bigger bikes under 150kw/tonne.. fyi most 600 SS are 300kw/tonne + And restrictor kits aren't available, no.
  3. The Victorian list of LAMS legal bike will be based on the NSW list.

There are a few bigger bike on the list.

eg the Suzuki GS500 (Hopefully getting one soon)
