Kitty (thundercat) went under the knife (Pics Updated)

Discussion in 'Modifications and Projects' at netrider.net.au started by stewy, Sep 11, 2006.

  1. Well guys you heard it first here my kitty has been under the knife over the last couple of weekends, for some elective surgery..... she was a bit scared at first, but by the end of the day she was very please with the outcome  . So much so she wanted me to show you all..... her new ass.

What do you all think, she keeps asking me is her bum still looks big in that outfit, i said looks great, but you know those females, they always think you are bias to them    , So guys opinions?

Well anyway (if you couldn't follow the dribble above heres what happened) as you can i have removed the old taillight and replaced it with a 954 taillight mod. Found this mod on another site (yzf600r.com), and also had some help from one member over there who did it to his, who was kind enough to make a paper template for me, and send it over   (thanks again). Also his how to guide was great, was really quite a easy mod to do provided you take your time.....

As you can see it's not finished yet, still got to be painted also requires the number plate, blinkers and number plate lights all going on this week, would also like to thank, Jafu (Dave) for making up a custom number plate holder over the weekend for me  looks fantastic.

Will post the rest of the pics during the week as i finish her off, but overall i am pretty happy with how it came up.

  11. ok guys, well as i said above i still had to paint the bracket to support the taillight, and build the number plate bracket (sorry jafu ran into trouble as couldn't drill through the stainless bracket you built for me) so i modified one i bought a shop for $25.00

  13. ok well here she is all back together, and finished.

Sorry for the quality of the last too photos camera batteries died, and it was almost midnight by the time i got it back together.....

Will get some better pics of her in the daylight hopefully tonight......but all in all am very happy with how this turned out, and just in time to ride her, on saturday when i come off restrictions ;) :D

If any other thundercat owners are interested, in doing this, shot me a pm, and will type a how to, along with all the pics i took along the way. Personally i think the rear of the cat (never likes the look of it) was it's only downfall, but i highly recommend this mod, as it finishes it off nicely.

    Cheers stewy :D

  14. It does look like a very tidy job stewy. Congrats. It looks awsome, it makes me want to put an under body kit on my SP2. Hmmmmmm. Should i?

  15. you know you want tooo mauhahahaha

After seeing it complete, i am not sure how others live with those big fat ugly arses that they put on bikes :biker:

  17. I hated the tail on my SP1. It definately had a huge-arse.

The kits i've seen for the RC51's are hiddeous. Otherwise I would have done the mod on mine.

  20. That’s why I built a custom unit  , one because the pre-built ones are too expenses  , and too they are generally just as ugly

thanks, she certainly not as perfect as your baby, but like yours she is now also unique

Ah now you tell me..... well i might take you up on that offer if this bracket breaks  its only alloy and i had to bend it, to suit... but it didn't crack so hopefully it's fine.
