Kawasaki GPX250 Clutch problems

Discussion in 'Welcome Lounge' at netrider.net.au started by Armo65, Mar 4, 2016.

  1. Hello to you all and my first post. My clutch started to wear out and when I put it into first gear it grabbed and stalled the engine even when the clutch lever was pulled in. So I thought time to renew the clutch plates. I purchased a complete clutch housing including the plates and decided to use the plates only.
I undid the clutch cover and found it would not come away until I found away to pull out the lever that the clutch cable is connected to. I replaced the plates put it all back together and now when I put it into first gear and let the clutch lever out nothing happens and the bike stays still.
I have tried to refit it back together 4 times with the same result. I think it could be that lever not fitting correctly.
    Can anyone help me please?
