[Jul 29, 2016] Media Event - Roadworks cause several bike crashes (Canungra)

Discussion in 'QLD' started by V2, Jul 29, 2016.

  1. Sorry about the short notice, but if anyone is near the Goat Track at Canungra at 1.00pm today, there will be a press conference about the shitty roadworks being carried out on QLD roads - some causing accidents!

The more riders that turn up, the more convincing it will be!

It's happening at about 4.5km from Canungra on the Goat Track at the location photoed below! Just keep riding ont he goat track and you'll find it. Take it easy though as the road is slippery at the new road works!

  2. Thanks for sharing V2V2.

FYI if you want to send in written correspondence to see if the tar snakes can be replaced with better grippier material you can either call:

07 5563 6600 for the South Coast Region
13 90 40 for the traffic management centre (Nerang) or write into Contact us (Department of Transport and Main Roads)

  3. Thanks for the info V2. I hate it when government departments try to hide and not own up to causing serious injury. They are being negligent either directly or indirectly through lack of awareness and poor training.
