Jim's learning to ride a bike!

Discussion in 'Welcome Lounge' at netrider.net.au started by Jimoin, Dec 2, 2011.

  1. Hi all,

After breaking up with the Mrs I thought the only sensible thing to do was get a bike!

Did my license on the 4th of Oct down at DECA Carrum with a mate and got myself a 2002 ZZ-R250 with under 5 on the clock a month later.

I've been trying to ride as much as possible but I've got my little fella every other week so those weeks are kinda hard.

Enjoying it so far and looking forward to getting to the Saturday ride mornings at Elwood whenever possible.

When I'm not restricted *cough*maybeslightlyearlier*cough* I'd love to disappear on a bigger more appropriate bike for a few months and see the land.

A big hello and I'm looking forward to learning as much as possible!

    See ya.

  2. Welcome to NR !!!

See you @ a Saturday practice session soon :D
  3. Hey Jim,

    Welcome to NR

Nothing like a bike to get the mind off other troubles! All the best
  4. A bike is way more sensible than hating the world through an empty bottle.
    Congrats and commiserations bud.
Bet the tacker cant wait till he can get on the back and go for a ride with you.
Ya gotta get that on vid for him. His first ride
  5. Thanks all.

He's only 4 so it'll be a while, though he does imaginary ride already!
  6. Hi Jimoin and welcome to NR

+1 Empty bottles are really bad news. I much prefer full ones.
  7. sexxxxxxxxxxxxxyy
  8. Welcome to NR :). Look forward to meeting you when you get down to Elwood. Give a shout in the learners thread if you would like someone to escort you down.
  9. Hey Jimmy
Doesn't get much better than this.

  10. Yeah mate I did the same ! is good eh !!!

Hmm, when you are off restrictions I'd recommend a big naked bike if you ever want to pick up another woman. Everyone knows fairings are for poofters.

    Whereabouts are you?
  11. welcome to NR Jim, see you down elwood one time. Enjoy the ride :)
