Jimmy Page at the olympics.

Discussion in 'The Pub' started by MVrog, Aug 24, 2008.

  1. The word is that Jimmy Page is playing at the Closing Ceremony tonight.
It will be worth sitting through it, if he does.

  2. Jimmy who?
  3. You know damn well who he is. I can tell by your Pommie accent.
  4. What sport does he compete in? :p
  5. He's on right now!
  6. He's looking old, but it was good to hear him play.
  7. Was P.Diddy with him ???

Rog, Did you get your cigarette lighter out and wave it above your head ???
  8. Pity that chick butchered the song...
  9. Was he the oldddddddddd guy with the guitar?
  10. Yeah Flip, that bloke.
Micky, I held my lighter so high, that I set fire to the ceiling.
  11. Looked like he was doing a bit of Milli Vanilli
  12. Nah, he was playing that. He has always moved like that, and as a Rock God, with a reputation to protect, he wouldn't fake it.
Nice new Les Paul Gold top too.
  13. apparently the whole piece was pre-recorded
  14. Where did you hear that?
  15. Judging by what I saw when I went to see Iron Maiden, the mobile phone screen has almost entirely displaced the Zippo flame resulting in the venue failing to acquire that evocative burned hair smell  .
  16. Bah, it had such a nasty live performance delay you get in stadiums that it couldn't have been pre-recorded. Even the might of the Chinese Government and Chinese Olympic Committee could make Jimmy Page guitar lipsync!
  17. That's what I figured too.
    Who was that girl singer?
  18. Leona Lewis, she was the winner of "British Idol"
  19. Thanx Cazvi, I had never heard of her, or seen her before.
Do you think that I need to spend more time in front of the telly?
  20. I had never heard of her before seeing her with J.P. either.

No, you don't need to spend more time in front of the telly, you need to spend more time riding
