IT Pros - Why does my D: Drive icon look like this?

I believe I first had that when I set up an ad hoc network. But I'm using an actual router now, so that should be a moot point.

In addition, I just restored my whole setup using the manufacturer's restore disc, and the d: icon still looks like that.

I mean, is it set up as a shared drive or something? It doesn't seem so, from what I can gather.

  2. Guessing here, but if you used Microsoft's Wizard to set up your networking, part of it involves copying some info to a usb stick, so your computer may think that that process is still going on .... :? :-k :-w

Or you maybe just need to right click on it and change the icon.....
  3. That's exactly what it was. Thanks a bunch. :)
