Is it allowed to pass through middle between cars in traffic jams?

  1. Guys,

    Like many of you, I drive to work everyday on a bike. Reasons are obvious...

    Well, I'm not in OZ yet, but visa will be coming soon and I guess will be in Sydney soon too...

    Question is...is it allowed to pass through middle between cars in traffic jams?

    How would the cops react to this? If not allowed, what do you guys do! Just sit tight and wait behind cars? ](*,)

    I drove for 1 year in Melbourne 10 years ago and don't remember what were the rules...well, I never really knew them and had copped tenths of tickets back then.

    Now, that I am older, guess I'm "more" mature and like to know the rules :)
