Is a swingarm pivot stand the go?

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' at netrider.net.au started by Anon, Sep 15, 2008.

  1. I need/want a stand for general chain lubing and maintenance tasks.

I'm looking at the Anderson swingarm pivot stand, but just want to make sure that its the best go before I go and get one.

If people prefer the normal rear race stands, why so?

Are these things ok for longer periods of layup (ie a week or 2)?

Are they really ok? It's a little nerving seeing things jammed into holes not really design to take loads like that.

I also like the pivot stand as it should be able to get the front well off the ground by pivoting the bike back....so saves getting a front lifter as well if I need to do front shock work.

    Enlighten me please
  2. www.kaneg.com.au

That is the best place for rear stands. The owner Pete is an enthusiast and really helpful. It about 36 hours from the time I ordered my stands until they turned up on my front door step. Good prices, good quality and great service. Highly recommend them.
  3. +1 ^^ im looking at getting a second one from these guys.. highly recommended and ship as fast as a rat up a rafter.
