  1. Hi all,
I'm Peter from The Netherlands, also known as Holland.
Yes I do have wooden shoes. And wear them. Very comfy.
    I own a few bikes: '74 H-D 35 SS, '75 Honda CB400F and 750F, '77 CB750F,
    '87 Yamaha XJ900.
Been riding for 15 years now. Longest trips: Northcape in Norway, some 7.500 km, roundtrip Spain/Portugal, also 7.500 km, Los Angeles/Milwaukee, some 5.000 km.
Ride every day to work (too much cars here, lots of traffic jams and it is just more fun).
    Member of Rataplan Ratbikeclub.
It's now winter here, but we only have rain....

  2. Do you wear your wooden shoes on your bike?

Welcome aboard. Nice to have someone from the Netherlands.
  3. Ooh, ratbikes... Show us yours!

  4. Welcome across the pond to NetRider
  5. Love to see someone like Sidi doing a wooden boot. :-k Wonder if they would hold up well in a crash.

    [IMG] Welcome to NR

P.S. can you teach me some good words to call the cops so they wont understand me
  6. Only on rally grounds...the police might get an idea to pull me over....
  7. For some reason I have to make five posts before I can put some pics here...only three to go...
  8. Wooden shoes are actually approved as 'save working footware' by some board. A cow can stand on it without breaking.

Ha good words: ga je moeder pesten (you are absolutly right)
Hebbie niets beters te doen? (speedlimit, what speedlimit?)
Snap je niet, versta geen engels, alleen aussie (me no understand English, only Aussie).
    Biertje? (Beer mate?)
Waar is de coffeeshop? (Where can I buy mariuhana?)
  9. Thank you all!
My fith post....the pics are coming!!!
  10. My on an old Yam on a bikerrally. The goal is to push the empty beer barrel across some 30 mtrs without falling.

    My Yamaha XJ900:

    CB750, imported from Italy:

I wrecked this one for the parts:

    Same with this one:

My last buy, and waiting for serious repairs....another block is waiting..
My first bike, I still have her, needs serious repairs too after 120.000 km (without overhaul)....
  11. Welcome to Netrider Cheesehead :)

  13. welcome :p
  14. hi and welcome to NR
nice to see some pictures :)
  15. Good to see you have the latest SIDI clogs on mate!
  16. CB-750 F1!! I had one of them, same colour!!!

Welcome across the miles (or kilometres) :)
  17. Yes they are. I've been wearing them since I was 12. We moved to a new house in an urban development area and the only playground was the newly build houses around us. My mom got tired of my shoes being covered in mud and cement, so she bought me wooden shoes.
Also learned to mix cement, drive a tractor ect ect. Not a bad childhood.

  19. Welcome cheesehead.
I thought that "cheesehead" was the Germans put-down name for the Dutch. Correct me if I am wrong.
