insurance, modifications and restrictions

  1. ok i have a gs500f.

    if i was to do any mods (lets say sprocket, slip on and larger rear wheel) will this affect my insurance in anyway? btw ill be on l's/p's.

  2. Contact your insurance company. If you don't notify them of mods that you have made and they are damaged in an accident, they may not replace them if you have to make a claim.
  3. Also, if any of your mod's make your bike unroadworthy, or are against your insurance company's policies, they'll just walk away in the event of an accident.
  4. Sprocket no. Slip on it's in your best interest so it's covered in the event of a claim.
    Why on earth would you change the rear wheel?
  5. its a 3.5 inch rear wheel which will expect either a 130 or 140. i want to put a 4.5 inch wheel on so i can get a 150 on it.
  6. yeah those gs wheels are tiny.
    Check your agreement its listed in it.
