Insurance claim

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' at netrider.net.au started by sidecar55, Oct 25, 2007.

  1. Anyone know if I can claim for my helmet afetr my stack last Saturday?
I was knocked down from behind & my helmet has scratches so I'm unsure of it's safety now.

  2. Depends on your insurance mate, check with them. I am with Suncorp and I have limited cover for my gear. A few hundred $'s I think.
  3. If the stack was not your fault, you can claim for replacement no doubt.
  4. i'm with choppa, some if not most bike insurers ask if you want cover on your gear when you take out a policy.

  5. And if the other party has insurance, invoice them for any gear damages. know a guy who smashed his sump, scratched up his helmet and jacket, and crushed his laptop when the front weel fell in an inspection/fill hole at a servo, because the manhole cover was missing (at night). All up about a 3 grand claim including a new laptop. If the accident damaged it, you can claim it.
