Instant battery voltage drop

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by hynejont, May 5, 2010.

  1. Need some help with Spada. Issues with battery losing charge. Started gradually then one day, dead when leaving work but would still idle fine when bump starting. New battery and RR and still have an issues and now wont idle when jump started but runs ok otherwise. I notice when I have the voltmeter on battery terminals, the moment i switch the ignition on, voltage starts dropping fairly quickly which would indicate a short in the ignition circuit. Any ideas on where to start ??? Any help would be appreciated

  2. Check that the battery terminals are on tight for a start, I'd also make sure the new reg rec gets checked.
