Indicators blinking very quickly....

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' at netrider.net.au started by Grunge, Apr 13, 2007.

  1. Bascially what the topic said. Since draining my battery by leaving the engine off but the indicator on yesterday, I've noticed that when I indicate left or right, the indicators blink very quickly, especially on higher revs, it looks like it's not blinking at all.

Not too sure what is causing this... what should I have a look at first and where? (BTW, it's a '89 zxr250.)

THanks for any help in advance.
  2. Are all indicators working?
  3. Sounds like a globe or the flasher can has shite its self, after being left on etc etc
  4. Vic, yeap, all indicators are working...

VTRBob, so that means I need a new flasher right?
  5. Yep, thats the next cheapest fix

you'll have to find yours on the bike and see if its a 2 or three pin, then pop into your local repco or autobarn etc and grab a replacement. Should be no more than $20 tops

  6. Kewl... I'll take a look tommorrow,

    Thanks Bob! :]
  7. I have the opposite problem every so often the indicators stop flashing.
they come on but as a fixed light. Is it the same fix?
  8. Flasher unit or poor earth connection.
