imported tyres dot aproved

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' started by stick3, Dec 4, 2011.

  1. my tires on my bike came from usa and i mention that to a bloke i was talking to at the toyrun today and he said are they... dot aproved for australia.... i search here and on line and can t find any info,.... need to compare tire markings to see if it still worth it to buy from the usa

  2. dot approved???? that's for helmets isn't it?
  3. I thought that DOT is the Department of Testing in the United States. "are they dot approved for australia" is a pretty odd question i reckon. oddly enough google isn't turning up much.
  4. All lies.

The treads you get from the US of A are exactly the same as the ones you get ripped for at Stevo's..

All are DOT approved and as long as there is not "not for highway use" stamped on them are perfectly legal to use on Australian roads.
