I don't think they need to do that, they need to remember to follow the things they were told to do when learning to drive a car in the first place, head checks.
That's assuming they've learned!

If it was so easy. Unfortunately, it needs to be re-enforced regularly.
As, just like you do for any exam, cram up, then after the exam, forget it. They only have to remember to do that to get a licence. Once they have the licence they have reached their goal.
It doesn't become a habit unless it's practiced.

Very good and instructive video.
that video (or a remake of it) would be beneficial when doing the L test in the car. Make them aware from early on and give them those habits. And hopefully the people teaching then have those habits too
